Congratulations to the 2021 College of Health and Human Services Faculty and Staff award winners.

This spring, Mason senior Elizabeth Cheang landed an internship that provided her with a unique opportunity to research COVID-19 cases and use public data sets to discover virus hot spots in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Virginia Cronin, Adjunct Faculty member for the School of Nursing and instructor in the CHHS Simulation Center, received the "Teacher of Distinction" commendation from the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning.

Professor of Global and Community Health Amira Roess has been recognized for her excellence in community involvement, teaching, and research during the COVID-19 pandemic and Mason’s safe return to campus.

Allison Bustria, Student Affairs Coordinator in the CHHS Office of Student Affairs, has been recognized for her outstanding work especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

After earning the highest score on the CHES exam, Mason CHHS alumna Irene Parriski leads a team of crisis counselors dedicated to providing wellbeing strategies and self-care resources for local health departments. 

Grace Buck, a senior studying Health Informatics, has been recognized for her demonstrated leadership and excellence in the areas of health informatics.
